Compassionate Care

Our goal is to minimize distress at your pet's time of need.

We know firsthand what it's like to say goodbye to a beloved furry friend.   Our hope is that when the time comes

for end of life decisions, that we can ease the fear and anxiety your pet may feel by traveling and entering a strange building.

Experienced Veterinarians

Dr's John and Kathleen Durfee have a combined 40+ years veterinary experience - both in companion animal

medicine and small scale farming.

A Personal Approach

Our pets are some of God's greatest gifts to us on earth.   We value the dignity of each pet's life and understand

this is a time of grieving for the whole family

Peaceful, loving care for your pet

Please send us a message or call

us for an appointment.

Most euthanasia appointments are pre-planned after careful thought.  If a true emergency arises, we will always try to accommodate; a referral to our wonderful Emergency Room veterinary hospitals in Akron may be necessary.

Out of office

Dear friend,

We are out of the office through June 8, 2025.

If you have a beloved pet that is in need of urgent care, please contact MedVetAkron @ 330-665-4996 or MetroAkron @ 330-666-2976.

Do call ahead to be appropriately triaged and request an anesthetic shot first for your pet before any

other procedures are necessary. This will help relieve much fear and distress for all.

Warmly, Dr's John & Kathleen Durfee 🐾
