    Meet the Veterinarians

    Then...

    Then...

    Then...

    And now

    Then...

    Then...

    Dr's John & Kathleen Durfee

John and Kathleen Durfee met in veterinary school at Texas A&M University and have been married 32+ years.  Together they have raised four children from birth, foster and adoption.

As a family they raised food animals on their small hobby farm in NE Ohio where they have grown to love all the seasons! Now they raise a few Katahdin sheep

and a plethora of animals just for "fun".

They both have a heart of compassion for those grieving the loss of a pet and hope this service will help some have a little more peace of mind during such a difficult time.

    Out of office

    Dear friend,

We are out of the office through June 8, 2025.

If you have a beloved pet that is in need of urgent care, please contact MedVetAkron @ 330-665-4996 or MetroAkron @ 330-666-2976.

Do call ahead to be appropriately triaged and request an anesthetic shot first for your pet before any

other procedures are necessary. This will help relieve much fear and distress for all.

    Warmly, Dr's John & Kathleen Durfee 🐾
